Seller Agreement

The extra obligations you take on when you sell on ScrollForge. It sits on top of the Marketplace Terms, and every mechanism described here is the one the marketplace actually runs.

01What this agreement is

Plain English · Ticking "I agree to the ScrollForge seller agreement" at onboarding means agreeing to this page, the Marketplace Terms, the content policies, and the terms you agree to when you set up PayGate payouts.

This Seller Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and EternalEngine LLC and applies the moment you create a seller profile at /sell. It supplements theMarketplace Terms, the Prohibited content policy, the Listing guidelines and the Moderation & reporting policy, all of which you also agree to. By setting up payouts you enter Stripe'sConnected Account Agreement, and Stripe's restricted businesses list applies to what you may sell.

02Eligibility & verification

Plain English · A free EternalEngine account is enough to start. You are approved to sell only after PayGate verifies you and confirms your account can take payments. Nobody is approved by filling in a form.

You must hold an EternalEngine account in good standing that meets the account requirements in the EternalEngine Terms, and you must be legally able to enter contracts and to receive payments in your country. If you sell on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

Seller verification is performed during PayGate payout setup, inside ScrollForge. Your seller profile is pending until PayGate reports that your payout account can accept payments, at which point it becomes approved — automatically on your next visit, with nothing to resubmit. A pending profile cannot list or sell. Approval is one-way: once approved you are not re-checked, and only Marketplace staff can suspend you. If PayGate cannot be reached during a check, you stay pending rather than being approved by default.

ScrollForge stores your display name, bio, avatar and website. The identity documents and bank details you enter during PayGate payout setup are received and held by PayGate's payment processor, Stripe, and processed underStripe's Privacy Policy; ScrollForge does not store them and does not show them to buyers.

03Fees & the split

Plain English · On every paid sale ScrollForge keeps a platform fee — a percentage of the sale plus a fixed amount per sale — and you keep the rest. Your exact terms are shown to you at onboarding and on your seller dashboard. PayGate's processing fee is charged to your payout account on top of that. Free listings carry no fee at all.

Each paid sale is split into a platform fee to EternalEngine and aseller payout to you. The platform fee is a percentage of the amount the buyer paid, rounded down to the cent, plus a fixed amount per paid sale; it never exceeds the sale, and you receive the remainder, so the two always add up to exactly the price the buyer paid — no cent is created or lost in the split. A paid price too low to leave you anything after the fee cannot be listed. The terms that apply to your account are displayed at onboarding, on your seller pages and in your sales view; the percentage may differ from the marketplace default if we agree an individual rate with you in writing, and it drops automatically once your lifetime completed sales reach the loyalty threshold shown on your dashboard.

Because each charge is made directly to your PayGate payout account, PayGate's own card processing fee is charged to that account on top of the platform fee. Your payouts page shows the processing rate as PayGate discloses it, and your net figure is computed from both.

Listings priced at zero create no charge, no platform fee and no payout. We may change the default platform fee with at least 30 days' notice, and a change takes effect only at the start of a calendar month (UTC); a change never applies to sales already made.

04Payouts

Plain English · PayGate pays your share into the bank account you connected, on your payout account's schedule. Your payouts page shows your balance and recent payouts and opens your payout dashboard.

Payouts are made by PayGate from your payout account to the bank account you set up, on the schedule and under the terms that apply to that account. ScrollForge does not hold your funds. Your payouts page shows the balance and recent payouts PayGate reports and links to your payout dashboard. If payouts are paused — for example because verification is incomplete — the same page says so and opens the PayGate setup form, which lists what is outstanding.

PayGate applies a monthly processed-volume cap per PayGate tier. If a sale would take you past your cap, that checkout is declined with a message telling the buyer you cannot accept the payment right now; nothing is charged. Raising the cap is a PayGate plan change on your EternalEngine account.

Not yet · ScrollForge does not yet keep its own payout ledger — the payout history on your sales page comes from PayGate, and the marketplace's own "payouts" list is empty until that ledger exists.

05Your listings & files

Plain English · You must own or have the rights to everything you upload. The marketplace checks a file belongs to your account and that it is a permitted, genuine file type; it does not check that you have the rights to what is inside it.

You represent and warrant, for every listing and every file, that:

  • you own it or hold every licence needed to sell it, including for any third-party assets, fonts, code, samples, stock or AI-generated elements it contains;
  • the listing's name, description, images, version and price are accurate and not misleading;
  • it does not fall under the Prohibited content policy and meets the Listing guidelines;
  • software you sell does only what the listing says, contains no malicious or hidden functionality, and does not collect data without disclosure;
  • you will keep the listing accurate and support the product as your listing promises.

Before a listing can reference a file, the marketplace verifies the file exists and belongs to your account. Every upload must be a permitted file type (SVG and HTML are not accepted), the declared type must match the file's real bytes, and executables and scripts are rejected regardless of the declared type. These are integrity checks on the file, not a review of its contents or a rights check — the rights warranty above is yours.

06Review, rejection & suspension

Plain English · A moderator reads every listing before it goes live and can send it back with a reason you can see. You cannot publish yourself. If your seller account is suspended, all your listings disappear at once until you are reinstated.

Listings start as drafts. When you submit one, it enters the review queue; a Marketplace moderator either publishes it or returns it to draft with a written comment, visible on the listing's review timeline. You may edit and resubmit. Only moderators can publish; a seller cannot set a listing live, and we may decline any listing at our discretion.

We may suspend your seller account for a breach of this Agreement or the policies it links, for a chargeback or complaint pattern, at PayGate's requirement, or where the law requires. Suspension immediately hides every one of your listings from the catalog and search and blocks purchases; reinstatement restores them without further action from you. Each suspension and reinstatement is recorded with the acting staff member and a comment. Appeals follow theModeration & reporting policy.

07Your obligations to buyers

Plain English · Buyers get the file they paid for, described accurately, under the Buyer License. Treat them fairly and answer them.

Buyers receive your product under the Buyer License. You must deliver what the listing describes, keep the file downloadable through the marketplace while the listing is published, and respond to buyer questions and problems in good faith. You may not contact buyers for any purpose other than delivering and supporting the product they bought.

08Refunds, disputes & chargebacks

Plain English · You handle refunds through PayGate. A full refund removes the buyer's download automatically. Chargebacks land on your PayGate payout account, and a bad pattern of them can get you suspended.

Refunds on your sales are issued through PayGate against the original charge. When a full refund is issued, the marketplace marks the purchase refunded, revokes the buyer's download and removes the sale from your totals; a partial refund is recorded and the buyer keeps the download. Follow the Refunds & disputes policy when a buyer asks.

Chargebacks and disputes are raised by the buyer's card issuer against your PayGate payout account and follow the card network's dispute process; PayGate records them. You are responsible for chargebacks and any fees applied to your payout account. A sustained pattern of disputes may lead to suspension.

09Taxes

Plain English · You are responsible for the taxes on your sales. ScrollForge does not collect sales tax or VAT for you today.

You are responsible for determining, collecting and remitting any sales tax, VAT, GST or other tax that applies to your sales and to your income, and for any tax forms required during PayGate payout setup. ScrollForge does not calculate or collect tax at checkout on your behalf and is not a merchant of record for your sales. The prices you list are the prices buyers pay.

10Buyer data

Plain English · Use what you learn about buyers only to deliver and support what they bought.

Buyer details you receive through the marketplace or PayGate may be used only to deliver, support and account for the sale, and must be handled in line with theEternalEngine Privacy Policy and applicable law. You may not add buyers to marketing lists or share their details without their separate consent.

11Using the ScrollForge name

You may say that your product is "available on ScrollForge" and link to your listing. You may not use the ScrollForge or EternalEngine names or marks in a way that suggests endorsement, or as part of your own product or business name.

12Ending the agreement

Plain English · Archive your listings whenever you like — buyers keep what they bought. Money already owed still flows through PayGate.

You may stop selling at any time by archiving your listings. Buyers who already purchased keep their download and any installation. Sales already made are settled through PayGate as normal, and refunds or disputes on those sales remain your responsibility. We may end this Agreement by suspending your seller account as described in section 06. Sections 05, 07, 08, 09 and 10 survive.
