Marketplace Terms

The agreement between you and EternalEngine for buying and selling on ScrollForge. Every section opens with a plain-English summary, and nothing here promises more than the marketplace actually does.

01Who we are & what these terms cover

Plain English · ScrollForge is run by EternalEngine LLC. These terms cover the marketplace — buying and selling digital products. Your account is covered by the EternalEngine Terms of Service, which apply too.

ScrollForge ("ScrollForge", "the Marketplace") is the digital products marketplace operated by EternalEngine LLC ("EternalEngine", "we", "us") at scrollforge.io and inside the EternalEngine app. These Marketplace Terms ("Terms") govern browsing, buying and selling on the Marketplace.

The Marketplace runs on your EternalEngine account. The EternalEngine Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply to that account and to everything not specifically covered here. Where these Terms and the EternalEngine Terms conflict about the Marketplace, these Terms control. The Seller Agreement adds obligations for sellers and is part of these Terms for anyone who sells.

By browsing, buying or selling on the Marketplace you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Marketplace.

02Your EternalEngine account

Plain English · You can browse without an account. To buy or sell you sign in with an EternalEngine account — the free tier is enough. Keep your login safe; you are responsible for what happens under it.

Anyone may browse the catalog without an account. Buying, downloading and selling require an EternalEngine account; a free account is sufficient and no paid plan is required. Signing in on scrollforge.io uses the same account and the same purchase history as the EternalEngine app.

You must meet the account requirements in the EternalEngine Terms (including its age requirement), keep your credentials confidential, and tell us promptly atinfo@eternalengineos.io about any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.

03Buying

Plain English · The price you see on the listing is the price recorded for your order. A seller cannot buy their own product. Free listings never bill anything.

When you buy a product, the price shown on the listing at that moment is the price recorded on your order; the Marketplace never accepts a price from your browser. Each order is for one product per account, and a seller cannot purchase their own listing.

Free listings (price of zero) complete without any payment step and create no billing record. Paid listings are paid at checkout as described in the next section. Prices are shown in the listing's currency; any taxes you owe on a purchase are your responsibility unless the checkout states otherwise.

04Payments through PayGate & Stripe

Plain English · Payments run through Stripe via EternalEngine PayGate — your card details go to Stripe, not to ScrollForge. The charge is made to the seller's Stripe account, and ScrollForge takes its platform fee out of it.

Card payments on the Marketplace are processed by Stripe through EternalEngine PayGate. Card details are collected by Stripe's own payment form and stored by Stripe under its terms and certifications; full card numbers never reach ScrollForge's servers, and no card is stored on scrollforge.io.

Each paid purchase is charged directly to the seller's Stripe connected account. The platform fee disclosed to the seller at onboarding and on their seller dashboard is deducted from the sale, and the remainder is the seller's. Stripe's own processing fee is charged to the seller's account by Stripe on top of the platform fee.

If a seller's account cannot accept a payment (for example, a Stripe verification or a PayGate volume limit), checkout tells you the seller cannot accept the payment right now and no charge is made.

05Your library & downloads

Plain English · A completed purchase lands in your library with a download link. Downloads are served only to the account that bought the product.

When a purchase completes, the product appears in your library on scrollforge.io and in the EternalEngine app, with an order number and a download. Download links work only while you are signed in to the purchasing account and only for a completed purchase. What you may do with a downloaded product is set out in the Buyer License.

Some products can additionally be installed into your EternalEngine workspace from the app. An installation you already made stays in place if the seller later archives the listing.

06Refunds & disputes

Plain English · Refunds are issued through PayGate. A full refund removes the product from your library. Official EternalEngine products carry a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. For every other seller, ask the seller first; if that fails, contact us. The details are on the Refunds page.

Digital products are delivered immediately, so refunds are not automatic. Official EternalEngine products (sold by EternalEngine LLC and shown with the Official badge) carry a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked; a refund on a product from any other seller is handled case by case. A refund on a Marketplace purchase is issued through PayGate and reflected on your order: a full refund marks the purchase refunded and revokes the download; a partial refund keeps the download. How to request one, and what we can and cannot do, is on the Refunds & disputes page, which is part of these Terms.

If you dispute a charge with your card issuer, Stripe and PayGate record the dispute against the seller's account. Please contact the seller or us before opening a chargeback — a dispute opened while a refund is being handled may end the refund process.

07Selling

Plain English · Anyone with a free account can apply to sell. You are approved only after Stripe verifies you through PayGate, and every listing is reviewed by a person before it goes live. The Seller Agreement has the details.

To sell, you create a seller profile at /sell and set up payouts through PayGate, which uses Stripe Connect to verify your identity. Your seller profile is approved only once Stripe reports that your connected account can accept charges — never by submitting a form, and never automatically over time. By setting up payouts you also enter Stripe'sConnected Account Agreement.

Sellers agree to the Seller Agreement, theProhibited content policy and the Listing guidelines. You are responsible for the legality of what you sell, the accuracy of your listing, your refund handling toward your buyers, and any chargebacks or disputes arising from your sales.

08Listings, files & intellectual property

Plain English · What you sell stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to list, deliver and promote it. You must own or have the rights to every file you upload. The platform itself is ours.

Your content. Sellers keep all rights to the products, files, descriptions and images they list. You grant EternalEngine a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce and transmit that content as needed to operate the Marketplace: showing the listing, delivering the file to buyers, generating thumbnails and previews, and promoting the listing on ScrollForge and EternalEngine surfaces. We do not sell your content or use it to train AI models.

Your responsibility. You represent that you own or hold the rights needed to sell every file you upload and every asset it contains, that the listing is accurate, and that it complies with law and with these Terms. The Marketplace checks that a file referenced by a listing exists and belongs to the seller's own account before the listing can use it; it does not check that you hold the rights to what is inside it — that is your warranty to us and to your buyers.

Our platform. The Marketplace software, design and branding are owned by EternalEngine LLC and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. "EternalEngine", "ScrollForge" and "PayGate" are trademarks of EternalEngine LLC. These Terms grant a right to use the Marketplace, not ownership of it.

Copyright complaints. Notices of infringement and counter-notices follow theEternalEngine Copyright & DMCA policy. Repeat infringers are removed from the Marketplace.

09Listing review & removal

Plain English · A person reviews every listing before it is published, and can send it back with a reason. We can suspend a seller, which hides all of their listings at once.

Sellers submit listings for review; a Marketplace moderator publishes them or returns them to draft with a written reason the seller can read on the listing's review timeline. Sellers cannot publish their own listings. We may decline any listing at our discretion, including for breaching the Prohibited content policy or the Listing guidelines.

We may suspend a seller account, which immediately hides every one of that seller's listings from the catalog and search and stops them from being purchased; reinstatement restores them. Suspensions and reinstatements are recorded with the acting staff member and a comment. How to report a listing and how appeals work is on the Moderation & reporting page.

10Product reviews

Plain English · Only people who bought the product can review it. Reviews must be honest and yours.

A product review can be submitted only from an account with a completed purchase of that product; a review from any other account is rejected before it is stored. Reviews must reflect your own genuine experience. Incentivised, fake or coordinated reviews, and reviews written to harass, are prohibited and may lead to suspension.

11Acceptable use

Plain English · Use the Marketplace lawfully, do not try to break it or reach other accounts' data, and do not resell or redistribute files you bought. Good-faith security research is welcome through our disclosure channel.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Marketplace for unlawful purposes or to list, sell or distribute content prohibited by the Prohibited content policy
  • Redistribute, resell, share or publish a product you bought except as the Buyer License allows
  • Probe, scan or attempt to circumvent security measures, access controls, rate limits, purchase entitlements or tenant isolation
  • Access or attempt to access another account's data, library or seller records
  • Use automation that imposes unreasonable load or scrapes the catalog or seller data
  • Misrepresent who you are, impersonate a seller or EternalEngine, or manipulate reviews, ratings or search
  • Misuse the reporting process with false or bad-faith reports

Security research is welcome through coordinated disclosure — see theSecurity page. Good-faith reports made through that channel are not a breach of this section.

12Third-party products

Plain English · Products are made and sold by independent sellers. We review listings, but we do not write, test or warrant the products themselves.

Except where a listing is expressly published by EternalEngine, every product on the Marketplace is created, described and sold by an independent seller. Buying a product creates a relationship between you and that seller. EternalEngine reviews listings before publication and enforces the policies linked from these Terms, but does not author, test, certify or warrant third-party products, their fitness for any purpose, or their freedom from defects. Software products in particular run with whatever permissions you give them — read the listing and install only what you trust.

13Suspension & termination

Plain English · You can stop using the Marketplace at any time. We can suspend sellers or accounts that break these rules, with notice where practical.

By you. You may stop buying or selling at any time. Archiving a listing removes it from the catalog; buyers who already purchased it keep their download and any installation. Closing your EternalEngine account is governed by the EternalEngine Terms.

By us. We may suspend a seller, decline listings, or restrict Marketplace access if you materially breach these Terms or the policies they link, if required by law or by Stripe, or to protect buyers, sellers or the integrity of the Marketplace. Where practical we will notify you and give you a chance to cure the issue first. Sections 08, 12, 14, 15 and 17 survive termination.

14Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Plain English · The standard part: the Marketplace is provided as-is, we do not warrant third-party products, and our financial liability is capped.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE MARKETPLACE AND EVERY THIRD-PARTY PRODUCT SOLD THROUGH IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ETERNALENGINE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE MARKETPLACE OR ANY PRODUCT SOLD THROUGH IT, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE MARKETPLACE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PLATFORM FEES WE RECEIVED FROM THE TRANSACTIONS GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING IT, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN EXCLUSIONS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

15Indemnification

Plain English · If what you list or do on the Marketplace gets us sued — for example, a file you sold infringes someone's rights — you cover the costs.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless EternalEngine and its officers, directors, employees and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of the content you list or sell, your use of the Marketplace in violation of these Terms or law, or your infringement of third-party rights.

16Changes to these terms

Plain English · If we change anything important, you will hear about it before it takes effect.

We may update these Terms as the Marketplace evolves. For material changes we will give at least 14 days' notice through the Marketplace or by email before they take effect, and we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

17Governing law & disputes

Plain English · Talk to us first — most issues are fixable with an email. Formal disputes go to binding arbitration.

Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us atinfo@eternalengineos.io and give us 30 days to work toward an informal resolution.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which EternalEngine LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes not resolved informally shall be settled by binding arbitration under the rules of the applicable arbitration association, on an individual basis. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or confidential information. Nothing in this section removes consumer rights you hold under mandatory local law.
